Galway has become one of the most popular destinations for weekend breaks in Ireland for Irish and overseas visitors alike. Galway is a vast and diverse County with the cosmopolitan City in contrast to the Gaeltacht areas of Connemara where the native Gaeilge is still the first language.
On a city break to Galway it is important to be well located. Most of the activity centres around Eyre Sq so try and base yourself close to this location. The Radisson is located on the waterfront of Lough Atalia. The hotel is popular with families and singletons alike. Another option is Jurys Inn Galway situated near the Spanish Arch. This hotel is a three star so slightly cheaper than the 4* Radisson.
Galway has plenty of restaurants and a wide array of options is available here. My personal favourite for good quality food is Cactus Jacks Mexican Restaurant.
